Vern Adopted August 19th
I was in search of a new forever friend. I always wanted a Doberman Pincher. I
lived in a Condo most of my adult life so I could never own one. So I purchased the
miniature version- my Min Pin Brandy.
I moved to a home about 5 years ago. The family was discussing getting another
dog (a real dog as they put it). So we all agreed on looking for a Doberman. I
contacted the Illinois Doberman Rescue over the Internet. Needless to say we now
have our Alexander.
I was so impressed with the organization that I decided to volunteer. This decision
changed my life. One of the needs that all rescues have is fostering. This is
where you open your home and your heart to a dog until they find their forever
home. I decided to foster 2 Dobe/mix puppies. Bruno & Birkenstock.
Birkenstock went to a wonderful family. Bruno stayed with us for a while longer.
Just long enough for us to fall in love with him. I broke the #1 rule of fostering. I
adopted Bruno!.
I thank God everyday for my dogs. They add so much joy to my life.

A special thank-you to my wonderful husband Bob, my Step-son Jeff, and the staff @ Alexanders Doggie Daycare for helping me with all my foster dogs.
